| Tough Mudder: Think You're Tough Enough? |
| Described as Ironman meets Burning Man, Tough Mudder is unlike any other challenge you've encountered; this 10- to 12-mile obstacle course is designed to measure strength, endurance, and mental toughness. More than half a million people around the world have taken the challenge -- and, for $104, you'll be able to register for Tough Mudder, held at the Peacemaker National Training Center on Sunday, April 21. Along with registration, you'll receive an orange Tough Mudder headband; a T-shirt; entry to the post-challenge party; and, for those older than 21, a well-deserved beer.In addition to challenging participants to overcome their fears and push themselves, Tough Mudder has helped raise more than $4 million to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. While we can't reveal the course map just yet (where's the fun in that, after all?) you can be sure it will feature 25 military-style obstacles to keep you on your toes -- as well as mud, ice, fire, and electric shocks that will test body and mind. Want to remember the event forever? Make sure to smile wide, because there are three photo zones, where photographers will be snapping action shots that you'll be able to view and purchase online.Once you conquer the course and cross the finish line, you'll be bestowed with an orange headband to commemorate your victory. Then, toast to good times and new friends at the after party, the perfect place to celebrate your monumental accomplishment with a complimentary beer for those of drinking age. |
