| The Circus Experience: Flying Trapeze + Acrobatics + Juggling + Food Truck |
| Despite the fact that political parties might be called "big tents," politics isn't the only show in town, thanks to this three-ring Adventure: a five-hour circus experience with a lesson in trapeze and other acrobatics at the Trapeze School New York - Washington, DC.We'll start by heading to the Trapeze School's headquarters in Southeast DC, where our Adventures team will be waiting to tear our tickets and stamp our hands. Next, we'll split into two groups and either head to the school's indoor or outdoor trapeze rigs for an introduction to the flying trapeze. The outdoor group will also learn rock climbing and juggling. All the while, the inside group will tackle partner acrobatics and silks (think: Cirque de Soleil). The groups will then switch places and enjoy the other activity.Part way through the high-flying festivities, we'll take an intermission and enjoy a catered meal with our choice of three different dishes and a bottle of water, courtesy of the Cirque Cuisine food truck (alternate food truck will cater on July 8). Since no circus is complete without a touch of the bizarre, we'll enjoy a demonstration from the pros who will show us what being in the circus is really like with a performance. If you're tired of all the DC big wigs clowning around, just make for the Big Top for an experience that's far from your usual dog-and-pony show. |
