Stand-Up Paddleboarding |
You might not be able to walk on water, but you can stand up and glide through it with today's deal: Pay $62 (a $125 value) for a three-hour lesson to learn the fundamentals of stand-up paddling from the pros at Potomac Paddlesports. With temps rising, the nation's waterways blossom into an inviting wonderland of wildlife -- which serve as the perfect backdrop to learn how to stand, fall, and maneuver on a stand-up paddleboard. During the lesson, American Canoe Association-certified instructors will teach proper launching and landing techniques before dipping into common strokes and turns. After participants' feet are wet, they'll put their skills to use during an end-of-lesson paddle through the scenic areas of the C&O Canal. Meet at Old Angler's Inn in Potomac for a Sunday session throughout the summer, and you'll be glad you tested the waters with this splash of a good time. |
