| Between L'Enfant Plaza and the National Gallery's permanent collection, the District has its fair share of French influence, and with today's deal you can get in on all the Francophilia fun. For $79, enjoy a three-hour cooking course in modern French cuisine with personal chef Bernard Henry at LivingSocial's new building at 918 F Street. On select Fridays and Sundays starting May 20, this executive chef and France native will take you through a lesson on how to make four courses (which you'll then get to taste), and give you recipe cards to take home for each. He'll start with a zucchini-basil soup, followed by lamb skewers with green olives and mint sauce, then sautéed cod with asparagus sauce and fennel, and finishing with a rum-raisin bread pudding. As you dive into the construction of each course, you'll also sip on a beverage paired to complement each dish (and give you a boost of liquid courage).
