| From the Oval Office to the halls of Congress, the District is so full of living history that it's easy to forget that we've got our fair share of the inanimate kind as well. Breathe new life into the city's past history when you write your own chapter with this Adventure: a 3.5-hour nighttime bike and boat tour of Washington, DC's historic monuments.We'll gather at the Capital City Bike Tours headquarters in Chinatown, where our team of history buffs will be on hand all evening to keep things rolling. We'll jump on our rides and get in line behind a fantastically entertaining guide, both courtesy of Capital City Bike Tours. On this hour-long scenic tour of DC's monuments, we'll pay homage to some of the nation's most distinct cast of historic characters as we make our way to the Georgetown Waterfront.Once we arrive, we'll leave our bikes on shore and take to the water for an hour-long boat cruise. We'll enjoy a breathtaking moonlight view of the monuments from the Potomac before dropping anchor back at the waterfront. Be sure to bring some extra cash to enjoy a beverage or snack on the boat. From there, we'll hop back on our bikes and return to Capital City to drop our bikes and then walk over to LivingSocial's headquarters at 918 F Street for some light refreshments to nibble on before we head home.The stone and granite memorials to our nation's past may not be going anywhere, but that doesn't mean we should sit around and wait for history to come to us.
