| You may have a typical 9-5 desk job, but that's just a front—you're actually the office vigilante, always on the lookout for threats lurking in the supplies closet or behind the water cooler. If "danger" is your real middle name (forget what it says on your W-2), unleash your inner warrior with this Adventure: an action-packed experience, including scenario-based instruction in fast-action driving maneuvers and high-powered firearms.We'll start by gathering at LivingSocial's headquarters at 918 F Street, NW, where our tactical team will be waiting. From there, we'll board busses and deploy to the G4S International Training government military training facility in Shacklefords, Virginia. Under the supervision of experienced instructors (all former Military Special Operations or SWAT operators), half the group will head to the driving course, where we'll get a hands-on lesson in backing, ramming, pursuit immobilization, and J-turns. After a round-robin competition in each skill, we'll accompany instructors through a life-like scenario, using the badass maneuvers we just learned.As one group takes to the road, the other will take to the shooting range, where we'll fire a total of 60 rounds: 20 on MP5s, 20 on M4s, and 20 on Glock 17s, all on a variety of targets. We'll follow up our range time with a real-life scenario, in which we'll storm a house and simulate force-on-force encounters with our Glock 17 air pistols.The groups will then switch places to keep the adrenaline pumping, then afterwards we'll all enjoy a barbecue lunch courtesy of Smokin' Joe's BBQ, including pulled pork or chicken, mac and cheese, baked beans, cole slaw, veggie wraps, cookies, soda, and water. After all of our activities are complete, we'll debrief with our instructors and either re-board the bus back to DC or hop back in our non-ram-able cars, enjoying the sweet tingle of a high-energy day. All secret identities will still be safe the next day at work, but we won't say the same for the guy who took the last doughnut from the conference room... |
