| There's not a lot of time before 2012 is upon us—which, of course, is when an armada of end-of-the-world zombies will be upon us. Learn from what Hollywood has taught and practice your .12 and .16 gauge aim for self preservation with this Adventure: private shotgun instruction followed by a catered picnic.Drive out to Prince George's County Trap and Skeet where we'll join our team of living dead marksmen who'll keep the ballistic festivities booming throughout the day. We'll also meet our personal shooting trainer who will explain the rules of the shooting range. After throwing on some eye and ear protection, it's time to get to blasting. As we venture along a wooded trail, we'll stop at five shooting stations— each ranging in terrain and distance—to let loose clay targets at varying speeds. We'll train our trigger fingers using .12 and .16 gauge shotguns, with five rounds of ammo per station at our disposal.After our fire-power session, we'll sit down for a picnic lunch catered by Au Bon Pain. Settle into the lodge and warm up next to the toasty wood-burning fire, or take a seat on a bench at one of the large outdoor picnic tables. Look forward to the choice of a sandwich, including roast beef on ciabatta, Arizona chicken on sun dried tomato bread, tuna salad on multigrain, oven roasted turkey on country white, or a black bean burger on feta flat bread—all paired with chips and a jumbo cookie. We'll wash it all down with a bottle of water or a cup of hot apple cider. The new year is nearly upon us—might as well live a little before having to deal with the undead. |
