| What's better than a sip of wine on a crisp autumn day? As many sips of wine as you want, of course. Sign on for this Adventure to experience Riot 1 at the Second Glass Wine Riot, where you'll have the opportunity to taste more than 200 bottles, learn more than a bit about what you're imbibing, and have a downright raucous time.The fun goes down at the Daughters of the Revolution Constitution Hall at 1 p.m. where our team of oenophiles will be on hand throughout the day. We'll wander around the tables tasting more than 200 wines from all over the world. Between sips, we'll take breaks for wine education, including a 1:30 p.m. How to Riot crash course talk by the founders of the event, Tyler Balliet and Morgan First. Throughout the day there will also be 20-minute seminars in which top experts from the world over pour us glasses of wine and teach us tasting notes.In addition to the regular festivities, as Adventurers, we'll have a dedicated Wine Intelligence Unit on call to exclusively educate members of our group about what to taste and why. Plus, we'll able to track all of the wines we taste through Second Glass's iPhone and Android app (totally free) by marking how much we "like" or "love" it. Our choices will be saved on our phones and the Second Glass website.When we're feeling nice and loose—and maybe a little bit rosy-cheeked—we'll take advantage of some of that liquid courage and dance to the stylings of our very own LivingSocial DJ. Then, we'll head to the photo booth for a complimentary take-home photo. After a day of imbibing some of the globe's best vino, we may just need photo documentation to remember it all. |
