| Poor Charlie Brown—no one believed the fella with his tale about the gift-giving Great Pumpkin. But with this Adventure, it's easy to see that, indeed, autumn comes bearing gifts—even the ghoulish kind. Sign on for an evening of pumpkin picking, gourmet harvested picnic, and an assortment of haunting season spooks.We'll meet at the Rosslyn Metro station in Arlington where we'll board a round-trip coach bus to Ridgefield Farms in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia with our ghoulish team on board to make sure our evening scares up a great time. Upon arrival, We'll meet our agronomic tour guides, who'll escort us to their fall-time bounty of plump pumpkins, and we'll have a field day finding the perfect head-sized pumpkin to take home.With our gourds stowed away on the bus, we'll taste the splendor of Canal House Cafe with a harvest picnic with seasonal treats laid out in a sweet spread. Our bodies refueled, we'll begin the evening festivities in an appropriately frightening fashion. First stop is the International House of Panic where a few good scares will offer a nice shot of adrenaline. After exiting, we'll board a hay wagon for a nerve-wrecking and slow roll through the haunted farm to our final destination: The Giant Corn Maze. We'll be on our own to wend through this pitch-black labyrinth, ensconced in thick, tall corn stocks. Now that's what we consider a hand-picked night carved out for fun. |
